My First Leather Good Made with Cricut Maker

front view of leather guitar pick holder

Pattern is self drafted from others I’ve seen online. Technically it’s a guitar pick holder – I thought they were so cool when I saw one online. Mine will keep Benadryl handy for sunscreen emergencies, and maybe a tiny bit of cash. It’s only 2.25 inches wide, so it’s definitely not a wallet.

I got to practice pattern drawing (this is version 2.0 after some R&D blunders) and leather cutting with the knife blade on my Cricut Maker. That was the big deal for me: I wanted to know how well Cricut cuts leather. Answer: “perfectly”.

The leather is black pigskin with a foil printed hair design. Metallic, shimmers in the light. Unbelievably cool.
